Today was one of those days that I know I’ll cherish for a long time. My son had his Easter celebration at school, and right after the festivities, I picked him up. We headed home, freshened up, and called an Uber to take us to the shopping mall. The ride arrived promptly, and soon we were on our way.
Upon arriving at the mall, we purchased our tickets for the “Minecraft Movie.” Interestingly, he wasn’t in the mood for popcorn, so we made our way downstairs to grab some Doritos and chocolate instead. We also bought a 1000ml Pepsi Twist and a 500ml Guaraná to enjoy during the film.
The movie itself was enjoyable, though not particularly groundbreaking. What made it special was that it was his first experience watching a 3D film. Seeing his eyes light up with wonder as the images popped out of the screen was a delight in itself.
After the movie, we stopped by McDonald’s. He was thrilled to get a Happy Meal that included a Creeper toy from the Minecraft series. I treated myself to a Milky Moo. It was a simple meal, but sharing it with him made it memorable.
By the time we got home, it was nearly ten o’clock. He was visibly tired, so after a quick bath, he went straight to bed and fell asleep almost immediately. It was a fun-filled afternoon, and I couldn’t be more grateful for these moments we share together.
